Are you a cat lover? If you are, you can consider paying a visit to Enoshima next time you take a trip to Japan. Enoshima is an island in the southwest of Japan, near Tokyo. It’s a popular leisure spot for surfing and swimming in summer. If the weather is nice and the sky is clear, you might be able to see Mt. Fuji from there. There is one more thing that makes Enoshima popular—it's a cat island. At first, most of these cats were unwanted and abandoned on the island, but now they are taken care of by the residents and visitors. Because of that, they are comfortable with humans.
