(It's nearly the end of the semester. Doris is still thinking about what to perform on the performance day, which is scheduled on the first Saturday of November. Now she's having dinner with her parents and discussing it with them.)

Doris: Mom, what did you do on your performance day in high school? I don't know what to perform, and the performance day is just around the corner.

Mom: Mm… I remember I teamed up with my classmates and did a short play. Maybe you could try that. It's not that much stress if you compare it to doing the show alone.

Dad: Your mom's got a point, honey. A short play is a good idea. Or you could sing a song on that day. We know you have a beautiful voice, and we don't mind share it with others.

Mom: Your dad's right. You could sing your favorite song, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Doris: You're right. I'm good at singing. But I'll team up with Marie to sing the song, which is also her favorite. Thanks, Mom and Dad. You're really of great help!

爸爸: 媽媽說得有道理，親愛的。短劇是個好主意。或者你可以在那天唱首歌。我們知道你有副好歌喉，而我們不介意與他人分享。

媽媽: 你爸爸說得沒錯。你可以唱你最喜歡的歌，「Somewhere Over the Rainbow」。

Doris: 你們說得對。我擅長唱歌。但我會和瑪麗一起唱這首歌，這也是她最喜歡的。謝謝爸爸媽媽，你們真是幫了我個大忙！
