(Tammy and her mom are chatting on the balcony. They're talking about the documentary they watched this morning. It's the life a snow leopard in the mountains of Central Asia.)

Tammy: The video said snow leopards usually live alone. Don't they miss their family? If I were a snow leopard, I would definitely miss you.

Mom: Honey, you need to understand that's the way they live in the wild. It's just like people in the world have different eating habits and customs.

Tammy: Oh, I see. It just surprised me that they live in very cold and dry places. I don’t think I could stand that for a minute.

Mom: (laugh) You surely can't when you're a human. But things would change if you were a snow leopard.

Tammy: I think I'll just be a human and have something icy and sweet…like ice cream!

Mom: (laugh) That's a good idea! Let's have some ice cream then!

Mom: 親愛的。妳需要了解這就是牠們生活在野外的方式。這就像世界上的人們有著不同的飲食習慣及習俗。

Tammy: 噢，我明白了。只是牠們生活在那麼寒冷又乾燥的地方很讓我吃驚就是了。我不覺得我能在那樣的環境忍受一分鐘。

Mom: (笑) 當妳是一個人類時，妳肯定無法忍受。但當妳是一隻雪豹，事情就會不一樣了。

Tammy: 我想我還是當個人類，然後吃點冰涼和甜滋滋的東西好了，像是冰淇淋！

Mom: (笑) 好主意！那我們來吃冰淇淋吧！
