1. organic (adj.) 有機的

We plan to visit an organic farm this weekend.

我們這週末預計去參訪一間有機農場。

2. suddenly (adv.) 突然地

After hearing the thunder, I suddenly realized it was going to rain.

聽到雷聲後, 我突然意識到要下雨了。

3. grow (v.) 種植，栽種

Farmers grow vegetables and fruit and sell them in the market.

農民種植蔬菜和水果, 並在市場上出售。

4. get rid of (phr.) 除掉，去除

Mike stepped on chewing gum and couldn’t get rid of it.

Mike踩到口香糖，然後弄不掉它。

5. weed (n.) 雜草

You'd better hire a gardener to take care of your garden, or it’ll be full of weeds soon.

你最好雇一個園丁來照顧你的花園, 否則它很快就會雜草叢生。

Josh: Mom, what are you doing in the garden? I’ve done the laundry in the laundry room.

Josh: 媽媽，你在花園做什麼呢？我已經把洗衣間的髒衣服洗好了。

Mom: That's very sweet of you, dear. I’m growing organic fruit and vegetables.

Mom: 你真是非常貼心呢，親愛的。我正在種有機水果和蔬菜。

Josh: Organic fruit and vegetables? Sounds interesting. May I help?

Josh: 有機水果和蔬菜？聽起來很有趣呢。我能幫忙嗎？

Mom: Sure. Why this suddenly interests you? I thought you’re not interested in gardening.

Mom: 當然可以啊。你為什麼突然對這個感興趣了呢？我以為你對園藝不感興趣呢。

Josh: My classmate, Vincent, talked about his uncle once. He’s a farmer and sells organic fruit in the market. Vincent brought some apples to school last week. He told me they’re from his uncle. And they're amazingly delicious and juicy. I can’t forget that taste, so I want to try growing fruit myself, too.

Josh: 我的同班同學，Vincent，有一次跟我說到他的叔叔。他是個農夫，而且在市場賣有機水果。Vincent上禮拜帶了一些蘋果到學校。他告訴我那是他叔叔給他的。那些蘋果令人驚艷地美味且多汁。我忘不了那個味道，所以也想自己試著種水果。

Mom:  That's a good reason to start, dear. Now, why don’t you help get rid of weeds first?

Mom: 親愛的，那是個很好的開始的理由。現在，你何不先幫忙除草呢？

Josh: OK. I'll get the gloves and shovel right away.

Josh: 好啊。我立刻去拿手套和鏟子。
